As a principal at Skelton Design, Elizabeth excels at problem solving and the collaborative nature of design, bringing the unique insight of each participant into the creative process to deliver distinctly original solutions. She has been the lead designer on projects ranging from admissions, development, and editorial publications for independent schools, colleges and universities to major museum exhibition catalogs. Her work has been recognized by AIGA, CASE, UCDA, and NOW. Prior positions include senior graphic designer at Harvard University’s Office of Communications, Alumni Affairs and Development, and senior graphic designer at Christopher Chadbourne and Associates, Boston, managing and art directing nationally recognized museum exhibitions. She currently teaches a graduate publication design course at Maryland Institute College of Art.
Claude has headed Skelton Design for thirty years. His range of expertise encompasses the design of branding programs, graphic identities, recruitment and development programs, magazines, and annual reports. Claude has spoken on publication design at a conference for editors and communications professionals held at Yale University, and he has frequently served as a judge for CASE awards competitions. National recognition includes awards from the Society of Publication Designers, Communication Arts, CASE, UCDA, the New York Art Director’s Club, Critique Magazine, the Type Director’s Club, Print Magazine, AIGA-Baltimore, and the Washington Art Directors Club. He has taught typography and currently teaches graphic design at Towson University.
Kevin is a conceptual innovator with a gift for eliminating clutter and zeroing in on simple, clear ideas. As a principal at Skelton Design, he has designed complete admissions campaigns and websites for higher education clients and managed projects ranging from branding initiatives for nonprofit organizations to award-winning book design for museums. While in Boston, he created exhibition design for clients such as the National Park System and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, and was senior graphic designer at Barrett Communications in Cambridge. His work has been recognized by CASE, AIGA, and the AAM. He has taught graphic design and currently teaches typography at Towson University.
After many years helping run nonprofits, Gina took on the organizational side of the business when Claude started the company in 1985. As Office Manager and Bookkeeper, she handles the company’s finances with the same commitment and attention to detail that the others bring to its creative success.
